Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Are you a teacher?
No, I worked as a substitute and got fired for unprofessional standards. I wasn't prepared to see a high school girl kissing for 90 minutes in gym class, a tall ball basketball player choking out a smaller one in the closet 2 minutes before class ended, those security guards blowing whistles full blast in order for the students to go in to the classrooms, break dancing w/o cardboard boxes in a class for students "that we're trying to help graduate" -said a teacher, and middle school students asked to "Color a Cat" w/ crayons (I told them: "If you want to color the cat, fine. If you don't, then that's between you and your teacher.")
2. What's your work background?
I went to meetings for mlm/Amway during my teen years. For 10 years I worked as a security guard/ receptionist. For 3 years I had a home child care. I was a substitute for 6 months. Now a poster at One Stop said that I'm a "homemaker," which is very true. I love being home and playing w/my family.
3. What's your plan for your future?
I'm reading the Bible, learning about God, helping people, and choosing to be happy and grateful to God for being alive. I still plan on being a teacher and a pastor when I am 50 years old.
4. What do you do every day?
I am studying- the Pmemory course which will enable me to memorize information visually. It is super hard work for me so I broke lesson 1 into 10 sections. Also I am studying:
-Active Parenting,
-Positive Discipline, and
-Professor Messer's free CompTia A+ course.
5. Anything else?
Yes, finding God was very difficult for me. My life has been tough, but now I see that there was a purpose to all that pain. Now I am using the wisdom God has given me to help other people.
6.Any hobbies?
Yes, Tai Chi Chuan, making videos, reading books, spending time playing with my family, and meditating. I also have some wonderful friends that I am learning from. I am very grateful to God for the people that He has sent to me. Now that I reflect back on my life I can see that everyone taught me something. Some came to teach me to protect myself. Others came to give me love.
7. Who are your heroes?
-Tony Robbins: "The quality of my life is the quality of my communication. Both with myself and with others."
-Mother Teresa: "Never do anything for people that are not humble. People that don't say "please" and "thank you."
-Gandhi: "Be the change that you want to see in the world."
-Bruce Lee: "Take what is useful."
-Ex-coworker Country Bob: "Go through life with your eyes open."
-My brother: "It appeared to be_____." (When describing things)
-Debby Beachy: "All in or All out." (from her mentor)
-Khan Academy: he stutters, and yet he teaches, nothing holds him back.
-Professor Messer: he understands that some people need his help and don't have cash at this moment.
